Ted joined The Urban Ministry Institute in February of 2020, serving as the Executive Assistant to the National Director Church. He supports the work of our National Director of Church Planting in identifying, resourcing, and inspiring movement leaders and their efforts to plant healthy churches in underserved communities, both domestic and international.
In January of 2022, he began serving as the Head Dean of the Evangel School of Urban church Planting. As Head Dean, he oversees the equipping and certification process for World Impact partners who desire to become certified Evangel Deans commissioned to host Evangel Schools that equip church pant teams in their context.
Ted’s passion is to develop leaders. Ted has served as a missionary to the Philippines, worked with churches in Oklahoma and Texas, and currently serves as Pastor of Southwood Christian Church in Greenville, TX.
Ted joined World Impact in April of 2010, serving as the City Director of World Impact in Dallas, TX. In Feb 2018, Ted began serving as a Regional Director of Ministry, leading City Directors, ministry staff, ministry engagements, and advancement throughout the Midwest Region. Ted also serves as Dean of The Urban Ministry Institute (TUMI) of Dallas since 2011, facilitating classes and managing TUMI partnerships in the Midwest. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Dallas Christian College since 2004, teaching courses in Bible, Preaching, and Practical Ministry.
Ted holds a BA in Ministry and Leadership from Dallas Christian College, an MA in New Testament and Preaching from Johnson University, and an MA in Global leadership from Dallas Baptist University.
Ted and his wife live in Dallas, TX. They have three children and nine grandchildren.
