Incarceration Ministries Specialist
Since 2012 Cathy Allsman has served as Incarceration Ministries Specialist for The Urban Ministry Institute (TUMI), a ministry of World Impact, where she her husband Don have served as missionaries with since 1991. Cathy oversees dozens of TUMI sites in prisons across the country, serving over hundreds of students. Prior to her current role, she was World Impact’s Candidate Services Coordinator, reviewing missionary applications and counseling potential applicants about joining World Impact as a missionary. Cathy graduated from Wichita State University with an MA in Communicative Disorders, specializing in Audiology. As a Research Audiologist for the House Ear Institute she served as liaison between the research clinical departments, contributing to cutting-edge advancement in hearing aid technology in the 1980s. Cathy and Don have two sons, Ryan and Mark, and daughter-in-law Janée.
